Project goal
The project called for an ultra compact power supply module to fit inside small IOT and home automation devices.
Input voltage - 85 to 265Vac 50/60hz
Output voltage - 5V 0.6A - 3W
Isolated output - upto 2kV Thermally limited
Solution
The solution involved exploring various innovative means of reducing the size of the device while still maintaining the required clearances for safety as per IPC, UL and EN standards. Once done, the product was tested thoroughly for overheating, faults, load variation and short circuit issues before the project was deemed completed.
